SUMMARY:International scaling of IT services – a business and legal perspective
DESCRIPTION:All you wanted to know about software distribution, SaaS and open source, but were afraid to ask\nPoland is a true breeding ground for talented engineers whose salaries are quite competitive compared to those of their colleagues working in the West.\nThis is just one of the reasons why multiple IT operators build and develop their IT solutions in Poland which, depending on the strategy, can then be licensed and transferred abroad, e.g. as a basis for businesses to provide global services within the SaaS (Software as a Service) model via SPVs.\nHowever, the transfer of software from Polish to foreign companies entails a number of risks which are often difficult to precisely identify and address. Ensuring that these risks are no longer a threat, but rather a key competitive edge is key to success.\nTo help you meet all these challenges, we would like to invite you to attend an event featuring experts, Agnieszka Choromańska-Malicka ( mailto:a.choromanska@kochanski.pl ), attorney-at-law and intellectual property law specialist, and Piotr Kaniewski,  ( mailto:%20p.kaniewski@kochanski.pl )attorney-at-law and technology transaction specialist, who will discuss possible business models for such ventures and the drafting and negotiation of IT agreements and contracts.\nThe meeting will provide answers to the most important questions of business operators interested in this area, including:\n\nWhich cooperation model should be adopted?\nWhich company, Polish or foreign, licenses or actually provides services to end customers in such a situation?\nShould such companies enter into an agreement and, if so, which one?\nBy whom is personal data actually processed?\nWhich agreements need to be concluded if a SaaS service is provided?\nDoes the use of open source components limit the possibility of distributing software?\n\nWho should attend\nThe event is addressed to representatives of tech companies interested in global growth and investors considering investing in such companies.\nSpeakers\nAgnieszka Choromańska-Malicka ( https://www.kochanski.pl/en/agnieszka-choromanska-malicka/ )\nPiotr Kaniewski ( https://www.kochanski.pl/en/piotr-kaniewski-2/ )\n***\nParticipation in the event is free of charge, following application acceptance and registration. The organiser reserves the right to refuse applications or to cancel the event.\nThe event may be attended either in person or online.\nOnsite venue: Kochański & Partners office, pl. Piłsudskiego 1. The number of participants is limited – first come, first served.\nA link to the online broadcast will be sent to participants the day before the event.\n
