In the six interviews and 21 articles, we offer you a cross-section of insights into how the way we do business is being changed by tech, how IT can boost productivity further \u2013 and Poland\u2019s chances in a digitally connected global economy.<\/strong><\/p><p>We start with an interview with the first interview with the BPCC\u2019s new chairman, <a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=50973&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=f6dcff76e6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Micha\u0142 Obiega\u0142a, BP\u2019s corporate affairs director for Poland<\/a>, in which he sets out his vision for the chamber as well as explaining how BP sees Poland developing, and his thoughts on green transformation.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=50561&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=6268f6ac35\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Agnieszka Jarosz, head of ACCA for Northern and Eastern Europe<\/a>, talks about the 120 year-old professional body\u2019s role as a <strong>global superconnector<\/strong>, and explains how AI is likely to change accountancy.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=50648&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=aae2084807\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tomasz Zalewski, tech superstar lawyer at Bird &amp; Bird<\/a>, considers <strong>Poland\u2019s place as a location for doing tech<\/strong>, considering infrastructural, regulatory, cultural and educational factors.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=50627&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=0cb198f220\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Krzysztof Konczyk, digital director at PwC\u2019s Strategy&amp; in Poland<\/a>, discusses the <strong>impact that the digital revolution is having on Polish retail<\/strong>, and how data will be driving growth.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=50575&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=c3b24d3350\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Brett, who has just arrived in Poland from Beijing to take up the post as principal of the British School Warsaw<\/a>, talks about <strong>education in an era of digitalisation<\/strong> and global mobility.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=51655&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=a0c3bdb1ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bart\u0142omiej W\u00f3jtowicz, business consulting director, Comarch S.A<\/a>, discusses the next steps facing companies as digitalisation extends into every business process, and about the UK\u2019s role in Comarch\u2019s plans for global growth.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The articles<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p><strong>The Big Picture<\/strong><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=50721&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=f9253f991d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pawel Prymakowski, CEO of IT Vision<\/a> shares his insights into <strong>the process of digitalising a company<\/strong>, and suggests the questions that business leaders should be asking themselves as they progress further along the journey of digital transformation.<\/p><p>EY\u2019s <em>Digital Transformation 2024<\/em> survey notes a massive <strong>surge in the percentage of firms prioritising digitalisation programmes<\/strong> compared to the situation in 2020. <a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=50988&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=b6d749342e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sylwia W\u00f3jcik from EY<\/a> says that rising costs of digitalisation can be offset by EU funds intended to help businesses adapt.<\/p><p>Digitising data should be a business priority; this is already an irreversible process. But the question, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=50906&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=ba1898d2f4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bogumi\u0142a Szymczak of Forvis Mazars<\/a> is <strong>not <em>what<\/em> to digitise, but <em>how<\/em> to do it effectively<\/strong> and <em>when<\/em> to take up the challenge.\u00a0<\/p><p>Digitalisation doesn\u2019t stand still. Software and hardware both need to be updated. How should a business cope with the migration of data from an old platform to a new one? <a href=\"https:\/\/bpcc.org.pl\/?p=51079&amp;preview=1&amp;_ppp=5768fa854c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pierre-Francis Grillet from SoftwareOne<\/a> considers the questions one should ask when <strong>planning SAP migration<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>Law and Tech<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Ever since computers became standard equipment across business, legislators have struggled to keep up with regulating tech. It is therefore not surprising that when discussing digitalisation, lawyers will have much to say about compliance.<\/strong><\/p><p>Corporates whose activity span multiple jurisdictions face legal issues when <strong>sending data across borders<\/strong>.
