On 19 May 2026, the British-Polish Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Cundall Poland, organised the event “UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard: a new benchmark for zero carbon buildings” at Cundall’s Warsaw office.

The meeting brought together representatives of the real estate, architecture, ESG, and sustainable construction sectors to discuss the practical application and implications of the newly introduced UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard.

During the session, participants examined the key principles of the standard, including its role in shaping future approaches to building design, operational performance, and investment decision-making. Particular attention was given to the importance of measurable decarbonisation pathways and transparent sustainability benchmarks within the built environment sector.

The discussion also included practical insights and experiences drawn from pilot projects presented by Cundall’s experts. These examples demonstrated how international standards and frameworks can support the development of credible and effective climate strategies, both in Poland and across international markets.

The event featured expert contributions from Michał Wójcik and Piotr Adamski, whose presentations and practical perspectives provided valuable insight into current industry challenges and opportunities related to net zero carbon buildings.

The British-Polish Chamber of Commerce would also like to express its appreciation to the Cundall Poland team for co-organising the event, their hospitality, and their continued cooperation.

The meeting highlighted the growing importance of knowledge sharing and international collaboration in supporting the transition from sustainability commitments to measurable climate action within the construction and real estate sectors.
